The original concept of Degen Legends started when Pangboy started an esports organization in the Philippines called Mobilegods running esports tournaments in the Phillipines. He built an office in the Philippines to provide a home base for the organization
March 2021
After running tournaments with Mobilegods for 2 months, Pangboy discovered Axie Infinity and decided to pivot temporarily to an Axie Infinity scholarship program as he already had an office built to run the infrastructure
February 2022
Seeing the vision of esports organizations integrated using blockchain technology, Pangboy took both his original esports model & crypto gaming model and started building out the organization to service the future of gaming, calling it 3D Gamers Guild. He partnered up with great organizations to help jumpstart the vision, raising $2M from Solana Ventures, Sol Big Brain, Sol Buckets, Shima Capital, Vespertine & Genblock Capital
